Happy Life Day one and all!
Snow has returned to parts of the galaxy and that means Life Day is upon us once again! The yearly tradition started on Kashyyyk has become a galactic event that lifts spirits, brightens smiles, and wraps up not only another fun-filled year, but new and interesting gifts for everyone to tear open with glee!
By the time you sit back with your Hoth Chocolate to read through all of the wonders of this years offerings, the Grotto will be opening its doors so everyone can do their part in decorating the tree alongside Chewbacca! Be sure to give him a big hug before tearing open the packages that he's left near the tree for you!
We here at the Legends team are just as appreciative as Chewie for your continued support and love; not just the game but for each other! Without you, there is no Life Day! We thank you all from the bottom of our collective heart and bid you welcome to Life Day!
So put on your best (worst!) holiday sweater, and partake of the festivities that we've outlined below. Welcome to the Grotto
To kick off celebrations, head to the Life Day Grotto, the entry door of which can be located at -756 19 263 on Kashyyyk (It's the one on the left). Make sure to dress warm, the snow has been falling non-stop!
Follow the presents from Kachiro, across the bridge and right to the door that leads to the Grotto
These festivities will be happening for a month! Starting on December 8th, you can enjoy all the season has to offer until the server restart on January 8th.

The Galactic Homeshow returns with its annual Life Day themed contest! A very special, first-of-its-kind trophy will be awarded to the winner! Submit your Life Day themed houses in this thread.
Princess Leia will be stopping by the grotto occasionally to sing of the spreading joy and harmony of the season. Details can be found here!
The community favorite contest returns! Join us this Life Day to help us locate our missing Wookiee elders and receive some very good rewards for your efforts to keep the festival going! Each day will yield special rewards for the lucky player who can find them, so make sure you read up on the details here!
The one and only Chriryme will be out for a limited time this Life Day to teach those who are interested about the meaning of the Wookiee tradition. Check out the details right here!
A mysterious entity has made their presence known this Life Day. Known only as the Narrator, this entity seems to relish the attention lavished upon it as citizens gather to hear its fantastical Life Day tales. The being is indeed a masterful storyteller, enthralling the galaxy whenever it turns up with stories that capture the delight and grandeur of the holiday season. But not all is well. During this busy time of year, Saun Dann has found himself behind schedule! If you are a creative person, the toymaker is looking for YOU to help to create Life Day greeting cards that he can send out to the galaxy! The top three designs, as determined by our panel of judges, will win special prizes! Read all about the event here.
Catastrophe! Something is disrupting the supply chain and it is putting Life Day in jeopardy! The White Thranta Shipping Company is monitoring the situation and is calling on mercenaries to protect shipments in transit to ensure they arrive safe and sound. The widely regarded toymaker, Saun Dann, is always busy during Life Day! This year is no exception but he still manages to find time to meet all the smiling faces of the galaxy. Multiple times throughout the season, Saun Dann will arrive at the Great Tree in Kachiro to meet children, offer good tidings, and award gifts in exchange for toy parts gathered during the Supply Chain Disruption. The Life Day Grotto is in full swing, and Saun Dann has been tasked with shipping some goodies off world to the good little boys and girls of the galaxy. Unfortunately the sweet smells of the treats within have attracted some very miserly beasts who want to smash all the good tidings and eat all the treats for themselves! The annual celebration of Wookiee Life Day comes to a joyous close in the Great Tree of Kachiro. Take to the heights and let your spirits soar as you socialize with the community, staff and Wookiee Elders. The world lost Carrie Fisher on December 27th, 2016. Although she's been gone now for seven years, she's far from forgotten. We will be hosting a gathering at the Princess Leia and R2-D2 memorial at Dee'ja Peek where we'll reflect on the long lasting impact she made throughout her life and even still since she's passed on. To mark the occasion, we ask you all to share a memory, thought, or kind word about what Carrie Fisher or her portrayal of Princess Leia meant for you. During the gathering, we'll read the message so that we can all join together and reflect back on her lasting legacy. We're looking back on the days of the shutdown of "live", the closure of all servers being hosted by SOE. The end of the game we all loved, only to be brought back again, here, with all of us fans old and new! As a show of respect to the old Star Wars Galaxies, we have a scheduled server restart happening on Friday, December 15th at 9:01pm PST to officially mark the anniversary of the original SWG’s shutdown over a decade ago.
There will be a social gathering at the Pit of Carkoon in the hour leading up to the planned server restart where we can all acknowledge and commemorate this incredible anniversary together! Stay tuned for announcements in game and on Discord! In the meanwhile, get a preview of this years event by looking back at this event in 2021.
