Corellia: what comes to mind when you think of this powerhouse of the Core Worlds?
Ace pilots? Rolling plains? Perhaps your thoughts linger on one of the planet's most famous sons: the prolific smuggler and Alliance hero Han Solo. Though he came from humble beginnings on Corellia, Solo's legacy has become the stuff of legends throughout the galaxy. With Star Wars Galaxies, you can see the vibrant beauty of the world that shaped a young man's destiny.
Get ready for adventure, folks: in today's Friday Feature, we're taking a tour of a selection of Corellia's Points of Interest (POIs). Let's get right into it!
First Things First: What are POIs?
POI stands for Point of Interest. These are locations throughout the galaxy that are notable for one reason or another: perhaps it's a location from one of the Star Wars movies or lore. Maybe it's a site of particular beauty, or an unusual planetary landmark. Why travel to Points of Interest? If you're a badge collector, hitting these locations is a quick and easy way to beef up your badge count. Or maybe you'd just like to see something cool. It's all good!
You can visit POIs on Corellia by pressing V to open your planetary map. In the pane that says "Find a Location", simply scroll to Points of Interest and expand the menu to list all possible locations.
Selecting a Point of Interest will mark it on your planet map. Right click the Point of Interest either in the Find a Location column or on the planet map itself and select Activate Waypoint to easily navigate to where you'd like to go. Got the location? Then all you need to do is hop on a speeder or grab a shuttle ticket and set off!

Crystal Fountain of Bela Vistal
A testament to the beauty of nature, the Crystal Fountain of Bela Vistal gives a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Corellian city life. More of a geyser than a true fountain, its waters cascade into a tranquil pool surrounded by trees. A lovely spot of peace in a turbulent galaxy, the Crystal Fountain is a top destination for those who appriciate the wonder of the natural world.
Agrilat Swamp
You'll truly tread in the footsteps of Han Solo in the rugged beauty of the Agrilat Swamp. Notorious for illegal swoop races, the Agrilat Swamp saw the young Solo face off against a man who would one day become infamous in his own right: Dengar. While you're here, you can live the true Han Solo experience and race the track yourself! Mysterious and slightly sinister at night, haunting and almost ethereal during the day, Agrilat is a region of rough and tumble beauty that's a definite "must see" on every adventurer's list.
Grand Theatre of Vreni Island
Set in a location that already possesses a great deal of natural beauty, the Grand Theatre of Vreni Island is a splendid sight. This outdoor theatre is surrounded by lush greenery, and the stage is perfectly lit by the sun peeking through the trees. One can just imagine what grand events must be held here.
Hidden Rebel Base
Enveloped in the protective mountains that surround it is a place where the fires of hope that light the Alliance burn brightly. For those who find themselves pursuing the dream of freedom, this just might be the place to help those dreams become a reality. If you stay the course, who knows where your path will lead you? Perhaps straight to a certain charming rogue...
