Happy Friday to you all. Today's Friday Feature, we're delving into the newest sensation in the galaxy - The Days of the Aned-Kla as well as the new beings we've seen emerge since its inception into our galaxy. We'll talk about its creation, a little bit of how you can get involved, and show off some of the new goodies that come with it throughout today's feature.
What are The Days of the Aned-Kla?
With SWG:Legends turning five years old, we wanted to do something really different from the usual anniversary happenings; something memorable, something monumental that was really fitting for a milestone like celebrating a fifth anniversary and something that will be fitting for the many future milestones we have ahead of us. The Days of the Aned-Kla achieves this by bringing a very limited time celebration to the galaxy that we wanted to truly feel unique and exclusive from the other seasonal festivals we enjoy over the year.
Something that separates this event from the others as well is the length of the celebration period. Normally our festivals tend to last in the neighborhood of 4 weeks to a full month, but The Days of the Aned-Kla will be one that will not operate the same. Our 2021 edition of The Days of the Aned-Kla will conclude Monday, March 15th (at restart) . We decided to do it this way to really make these moments memorable for those who are able to be here with us to celebrate achievements like SWG:Legends has this year with our five year anniversary. Another big difference as well will be that The Days of the Aned-Kla will NOT be an every year event. These new explorers who have descended upon Mos Entha this year will only show up when there are very big milestones being celebrated in our galaxy.
Who are these new explorers from another galaxy?
Not much is currently known about these mysterious explorers other than their clan being called the Aned-Kla. Their leader Dal'an and the rest of his crew (with exception of his droid sidekick LG-5ND) are of the Togorian race. Dal'an has ventured far and wide to Omega after learning an important milestone was being approached and thus the Aned-Kla has arrived to help bring some of their world to us with a wide array of trinkets and festive decor to show this galaxy how they celebrate!
(You can learn a little bit about the Togorian species here.)
How can I take part in The Days of the Aned-Kla?
Our new Togorian friends have chosen Mos Entha to host their inaugural visit to our galaxy. You can head there anytime the Aned-Kla are visiting to take part in a variety of quests throughout the area of varying difficulties and tasks. Dal'an's protocol droid sidekick LG-5ND can be found greeting you outside of the starport entrance in Mos Entha where he's anxiously ready to greet you.
All throughout the city you can find various NPCs consisting of new and familiar faces offering you quests that you can complete in exchange for tokens to be used for purchasing the many new goods from this celebration. Answering riddles, disabling bombs, playing with fireworks, racing, and more await you in Mos Entha during this special time!
You can visit our SWG:Legends wiki for an overview of the festival as well as waypoints, rewards, and more right here.
We wish to extend a big thank you to @SplinterStrike for taking the time to update our wiki with information on this new event!
Happy Anniversary, Legends!
While our anniversary was what brought The Days of the Aned-Kla to life, we can't wait to share in more of the adventures with all of you and see what kind of new things our Togorian friends bring back with them on their next visit. We're thrilled to see how many of you are enjoying the current festival while it's still on and we can't thank you all enough for your dedication and support.
We're not sure when the Aned-Kla will return again or how long they'll stay next time, but we hope you all enjoy their visit now while they're here.
May the force be with you,
The SWG:Legends Team
