SWG Legends news // The Housing Demolition Event has ENDED (Updated 9/10/21)

**Update: 9/10/21**
Greetings Legends,
After almost 1 week of relentless house clearing from all of you, we've finally reached that time where we must now CONCLUDE the housing demolition event. Over 14,000 abandoned structures were removed and paved the way for new growth in the galaxy.
We thank each and every one of you for taking part in this years housing demolition event and can't wait to see you again next time!
May the Force be with you,
The SWG:Legends Team

HOUSING DEMOLITION IS NOW OVER!!

The Empire is instituting a galaxy-wide effort to remove deserted buildings in an effort to prevent the Rebel Alliance from using abandoned structures as bases and safe houses.
Any house, factory, or player association hall that has been abandoned by its owner has been targeted by the Galactic Vacant Building Demolitions Crew for destruction. The Empire has decreed that these buildings cannot be accessed and must be destroyed.
Don't give the enemy the satisfaction of calling an airstrike on your property!

A few reminders about the event:
  • You have to claim the G.V.B.D.M. Invite: Summer 2021 object and use it to participate in the event!
  • Only 10 houses can be demolished per account per day.
  • The count of demolished houses and badges awarded are synced through all characters on the account.
  • GVBDM tokens can be stored in the heroic token box.
  • The Vendor for the GVBDM now shows a vendor window rather than a conversation window when purchasing items.

Are you curious what things you can get with your tokens? Does this whole thing sound absolutely bonkers to you? Worry not. The time has come, Legends! Get out there and clean house. At the moment this event has gone live, there are at least 13,544 homes eligible for packup! There is no set date for the event to end. Due to the nature of this event, the length it lasts is determined more by how fast all of you can locate eligible houses. We will make the determination later on for when to turn the event off when there appears to be no houses left to destroy.
