We'd like to take this time to update you about our server.
Omega will be taken offline January 13th, 2020 at 8:00AM GMT UK/3:00AM EST/12:00AM PST for server hardware maintenance. We have no ETA on when the server will be back online.

On January 11th, 2020, after further communication with our server host, they agreed to do an "intervention" during our server downtime, which involved having a technician take our server off the rack and run tests to see if any hardware needed to be replaced. The representative on the phone told me based on the results of the tests we had ran, the intervention would most likely be involving replacing the motherboard and network interface.
Nearly 5 1/2 hours later, we heard from our server host that the intervention had been completed. I spent the next hour running tests on our hardware before starting up the server around 6:50AM PST. The server was online at 7:18AM PST that morning. I went to bed once the startup was successful after having no sleep that night waiting to hear a response.
When I woke up, I received several reports that the latency issues were still around. I called up our server host only to find out that the technician's tests showed different results than ours and that they simply replaced a network cable (similar to what they did a few months ago when the latency issues first started) instead of replacing the network interface. Needless to say, the conversation I had with them turned into a rather indignant conversation, and they agreed to replace both the network interface and motherboard of our server, bypassing any technician tests and guaranteeing the replacement.
We have been and are continuing to work with our server host in order to ensure you all can play without any further ping spikes or latency issues.
