SWG Legends news // *SWG:Legends: Staff Spotlight - Cristina*

Staff Handle Name?
Cristina
What is your position on the Legends Staff?
I am a CSR!
What do you do for the project SWG Legends?
I would say I am a jack of all trades, professionally none lol. I work tickets, answer questions to the best of my ability via DM, tracking down things people lose, unstick people from places they get stuck. I try to be in attendance for as many events as I can, and I will help wherever I am needed really. I also keep track of chats in the Discord (not just the helpdesk), I pop in to other channels to say hello there whenever I can or answer questions. I try to interact with people in the community as much as time allows.
How did you come to possess these skills, education or self taught?
My job in the real world is merchandising and marketing, which is heavily customer service oriented. Every job I’ve held has been ones with a lot of customer contact, so I have a lot of experience in this regard.
Describe your typical day supporting Legends.
Well, I get up and check my phone first. I’ll catch up on any messages in the help desk that popped up between my waking up and the US based team members going to sleep. I’ll also read the tickets that came in while I was sleeping, and respond to anything that needs to be followed up on. Then I do activations (which I keep an eye on all day), catch up on various Discord chats, and work on any pending tickets. Throughout the day, I keep my second screen and Ipad open so that I can keep track of the help desk and swiftly answer my DMs or any tickets that I can take immediate action on. I try to keep my response time pretty consistently fast, so the player isn’t waiting a long time for a resolution or an answer.
What do you think your greatest contribution has been to Legends?
I … have no idea haha. Maybe this is a better question to answer when I’m here longer? Hmm.. I have an eidetic memory, and this has proven useful when dealing with technical issues. I am also endlessly curious and enthused to help in any way I can. I think that’s great traits to have because it means I am willing to learn all I can to be an asset to the project. So in that way, I think I contribute best just by using my skills to the best of my ability to be a boon to the team!
What would the other staff at Legends say to this; “Describe Cristina.”
“Eccentric, crazy cat lady?” “Chatty weirdo?” haha. Hard working, I hope!

What has been the most difficult thing you’ve done supporting Legends?
Well, sometimes I do have to tell players bad news. That’s never fun, and I don’t enjoy that. My motto is look for the ways something *can* happen rather than the ways that it can’t, but sometimes you just gotta say no.
How often do you actually get to play SWG?
I play every day, actually. Granted, sometimes I am splitting my time between my game and my Ipad or second screen (where I am answering tickets and keeping an eye on Discord). I often have to pause in RP or perhaps multitask during Invasions to help out a player, which comes with the territory (a player needing help gets priority, so I’ve often run to safety for a few moments to answer players DMs!). But I do try to get on every single day to restock my store, rp, do an invasion, or do some entertaining. I like to be as active as I can, as I feel in this way I can best support others in their gameplay related questions.
What is your favorite thing to do in game?
RP. I am so fascinated by a galaxy where a trillion stories can exist in so many different ways. I love making stories and working with others to expand the wider RP universe. When I am not RPing, you will probably see my traders and entertainers supporting invasions, as I spend a lot of time doing those.
When did you start playing SWG, and describe that experience?
I discovered SWG about six years ago, and it was like WOW. This is the Star Wars game we deserve. I still can’t believe sometimes this amazing world and I am always finding new things to do!
